Saving Presence

This book presents the second great challenge of Matthew's Gospel: after the invitation to accept Jesus, we are challenged to accept his Church in all of its mystery and mediocrity. Chapters 10 to 12 of Matthew's Gospel present the Church as the extension in time and space of Jesus's own presence, mission and ministry. They invite us to be Church and to be Christ in lives of continuing conversion and prophetic witness.
