Welcome to the Risen Life!

The faith of the Church shines in the prayer of the Church:

Send forth your Spirit and our hearts will be regenerated, and you will renew the face of the earth!

Do you believe God will do this? That he is doing it now, in our time?

The season from Easter to Pentecost leads us into the mystery of our identity as the risen body of Christ. Jesus is risen and living in us! He wants to act with us, in us and through us to “renew the face of the earth.” This is a time of “new evangelization.” We are being invited to hear the Good News as never before.

It is news!

“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!”

We have received “new wine into new wine skins.” It is time to “bring out of our treasure what is new and what is old.” To “speak in new tongues,” with new understanding. New appreciation. New enthusiasm.

Jesus died and rose to “create in himself a new humanity” to bring about peace on earth. He lives now to do it in us and through us, his body on earth. This is the Good News: We can “renew the face of the earth.”

During the Easter Season, we will offer reflections focused on the new life we are called to live through our baptismal anointing as “prophets” and witnesses to the Good News.

If you have read Reaching Jesus – Five Steps to the Fullness of Life, you will notice that these reflections can serve as a practical follow-up to Step Three. If you have not read the book, why not take it up during this Easter Season as a way to grow in your relationship with Jesus during this most Blessed Season?
