ACCEPTING JESUS AS SAVIOR

We need to use Jesus as Savior because without him our lives on this earth are going to veer off into destructiveness. Most adults know this from experience.

The reason why our lives get messed up is that we are born into a world that "programs" us to a lot of false attitudes, values and destructive ways of acting. This is a fact of human existence. No one escapes it.

Jesus alone can save us from gravitating into messed-up or mediocre lives. In him alone we find undistorted truth and the model of undiminished life.

To believe
in Jesus as Savior is to believe that he can show us the Truth we need to understand and the Way we need to follow in order to live Life to the full.

To let Jesus save
our lives on this earth, we need to be immersed in Christ; that is, we need to interact with him consciously in everything we do: at home, at school and at work. We need to let him shape our attitudes, values and behavior. We need to do this all day long.

This is the key to accepting Jesus as Savior. Whether we choose to do it is the most important decision of our lives.

COMMITMENT

To interact with Jesus as Savior
in everything I do.

Pray daily
Jesus, you are my Savior. Help me to think with your thoughts, to speak with your words, and to act as your body on earth.

Jesus, I want to use you as my Savior. I promise to give you an active part in everything I do. (Sign be-low).

How can I remind myself to interact with Jesus in the particular areas of my life (home, school, work, etc.)?
